Foster

We use foster homes for animals to help them get ready for adoption. Once they are ready for a new home, the animals live here at our facility in order for potential adopters to see and meet them. Therefore, our foster situations are short term and finite. The shelter supplies foster homes with all needed supplies.

We work with our foster volunteers to be sure that the animal(s) that they foster fit well into their home and lifestyle. As a foster, you will choose what animals you help and when you are able to do it.

Our fosters help us with animals who may need time to recover from a medical procedure, animals who are shy and would benefit from socialization, and young puppies and kittens before they are medically ready to be adopted.

If you're interested in fostering, the first step would be to chat with us! Give us a call at 419-626-6220 and ask to speak with Schyler or Melissa. We have an answering machine, so feel free to leave a voicemail if your call is after routine office hours. Thanks for your interest in helping our animals!
